Fiberglass or Silica mesh fabrics are made stiff using a special
coating. These fabrics are then cut into small sizes and used largely in the low pressure casting, gravity or investment casting applications. The automotive industry is a large user of such special cut pieces. These fabrics can even be given a special shape like a cup or bowl for filtration applications. A stapler pin is also provided in some cases to assist the magnetic mechanism to replace the filters and place the next one in position.
